Skyler Marsh is originally from Alabama and was raised around
bluegrass his whole life. He started on banjo and guitar but quickly fell in love with the upright bass after learning the instrument so he could play in his father's bluegrass band. For the last ten years Skyler has worked around the United States with the US Forest Service. Throughout his travels he has continued to play the bass with bands from multiple genres. Since being in Colorado, Skyler has continued to
play bluegrass, jazz, and swing with several bands such as Grass it Up, The Gypsy Jazz Social Club, Free the Honey, Simpler Times and, most recently, The Bluegrass Journeymen.
